Pre-Owned Tag Heuer Aquaracer Watches
Launched in 1982 as a watersports inspired watch for professionals, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer offers everything a diver needs to use a watch in the harsh ocean environment whilst also offering a luxurious and sporty aesthetic. Each generation of Aquaracer adds new and exciting features to the popular range.
Tag Heuer Aquaracer Watches
Started by Edouard Heuer under the name Heuer, the TAG Heuer brand came into being in 1985 after a merger with TAG—a manufacturer of technology used in Formula 1 racing and aviation. Since then, TAG Heuer has consistently been at the forefront of Swiss watchmaking, pushing the boundaries of innovation and design.
The Aquaracer collection has its origins in the late 1970s when Heuer, as the brand was still called, released its 1000 Series dive watches—the first time the brand had made watches in this category. This was followed in the 1980s by the 2000 Series, which lasted up until 2004 when the collection was officially relaunched as the Aquaracer.
Renowned for its combination of precision, sporty elegance, and functionality, it was specifically designed for water sports enthusiasts and professional divers who demand a timepiece that can withstand the challenges of the ocean.
Almost every version of the Aquaracer is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel, ensuring accurate and safe timing of every dive. This, combined with its water resistance of up to 300 metres and its exceptional legibility, make it suitable for diving professionals.
The screw-down crown and caseback ensure a secure and water-tight seal, providing peace of mind during underwater exploration. With their excellent build quality, these timepieces are designed to last for years to come.
The TAG Heuer Aquaracer collection offers a wide range of models to suit everyone. From sporty stainless-steel versions to glitzy diamond-studded editions in precious metals, there’s an Aquaracer for every taste.
TAG has also released versions in more interesting materials, including stylish ceramic and ultra-lightweight titanium. Chronograph versions including the hybrid ana-digi Chronotimer are also available, as well as GMT models with the classic red and blue “Pepsi” bezel—allowing you to track two time zones simultaneously.
In 2022, TAG Heuer unveiled the Aquaracer Solargraph. As the name suggests, the Solargraph runs on an innovative solar-powered quartz movement, the in-house calibre TH50-00. Place this piece under any light source—natural or artificial—to charge the watch’s battery, ensuring uninterrupted performance, day and night.
TAG Heuer has revealed a handful of collaborative pieces in its time, including models with Porsche, Nintendo’s Mario and Red Bull Racing. It even turned to celebrity brand ambassador and rising tennis star, Naomi Osaka, to create her own limited-edition Aquaracer. The result was a sophisticated green watch with a sporty design and diamond indices.
Other brand ambassadors and Aquaracer fans include surfer Kai Lenny and Chinese swimmer, Qin Haiyang, both of whom wear the Aquaracer Professional 300 Date in steel with a navy-blue dial and diamond indices.
The TAG Heuer Aquaracer is the perfect timepiece for those who value both style and functionality. With its sleek sports-inspired design and hardy dive credentials, this watch will take you from the depths of the ocean to the red carpet with ease. At Watchfinder, you’ll find an array of pre-owned TAG Heuer Aquaracer watches available at a wide range of price points.
